A Sort of Homecoming

I am back!  This is Lauri again.  After reading David's posts, I don't think that I can keep up the comedy or creativity.  He is a funny guy! Just one of the many reasons why I love him.  He has barely left my side through this and has really been amazing.   

I am so glad to be home.  I am pretty sore, but the pain is manageable with my pain medications.  I can't lift my arms up very high or use my chest muscles at all.  So, I feel kind of helpless.  But, David and my mom are taking great care of me.  And food, treats and gifts keep coming to the house.  I can't thank all of my friends and family enough for all of the love and support from near and far.  I feel like the worst part of this is over and all that I need to do is recover. And,  I feel a huge sense of relief to have the cancer removed from my body. 

I saw the kids this morning for a while.  Then Papa took them down to Delray Beach to spend the rest of this week and this weekend with their cousins, Aunt Robyn and Uncle Mike.  By the time they get back on Sunday, I am hoping to be in much better shape.  Jackie was really sweet this morning and helped me take a bath.  That is a first.

I am expecting final pathology results by tomorrow, so will update when we get them.  That's all for now.
