There She Goes

So I lied.

Lauri isn't quite ready to take her blog back yet. Something about not puking on the iPad ....

She really has done great.

She is no longer having any nausea, and it seems the oral medications work well to control her pain.

The only real problem is that Lauri mysteriously turns into a sailor when she's on Valium. She drops F- bombs like Andrew Dice Clay. It's all fun and games until Lauri had to tell the nurse (who happened to be a nun) that, "goddamnit", her "tits hurt like f..king s.it".  Boy. That was an uncomfortable silence.  Fortunately, it wasn't long before charming Lauri won her over again.

We got some more good news today. The early results from the BRCA testing are negative. One more portion of the test is still pending. I think another week for those results.

Anyway, even though she can't write in her blog, Lauri is eating and walking. I hope we can get out by tomorrow am.

Time for your sponge bath, Mr. Costanza.

David

  1. David, If you ever get tired of the world of medicine, you definitely should take up writing as a profession. So appreciate your updates along with the witty, hilarious sidebars. Please give Lauri our love. We so look forward to her homecoming. Prayers continue.
