Mom and Dad just left. I am sad to see them go, but so grateful for their help. Dad was here to take care of the kids during and after surgery. Mom has not left my side. She has been here to take care of my body and soul. Thank you for taking care of me, for always knowing the right thing to say, and for cutting up my waffles. I love you both and miss you already.

ReplyDeleteHey! I was just thinking about you and how you were holding up. Must be pretty good if your mom is willing to go home! i know it was awesome to have her there to help. That is exciting, because it must mean progress and independence! You are a trooper and I know that as much as it has been great to have everyone willing and ready to help out, I am sure that you are also excited to get "back to normal". Which may not be "normal" for a while. But that is ok. I suspect that eventually the new normal will be even better than before, with more laughter, seizing the moments (and you are already really good with that!!) and appreciating each day and all of its glory, and without the worry about mammogram abnormalities. So keep us posted on what you need, what you want, and when you "just want to do it on your own!"
